Actress Kelly Preston, John Travolta’s wife, dies aged 57

Kelly Preston, John Travolta’s celebrity and wife, has died aged 57.

Travolta posted on Instagram:”My lovely wife Kelly has dropped her two-year struggle with breast cancer. She fought a brave fight with all the support and love of many.”

The couple was married for almost 29 decades. Preston’s career included roles in Twins in the Hat.

She collaborated on Dogs and Battlefield Earth with her husband.

In his article, Travolta thanked the health employees who had cared for his wife”along with her many friends and loved ones who’ve been by her side”.

The couple’s son Jett Travolta expired from a seizure in a family vacation in the Bahamas at January 2009 at age 16.

They have Ella Bleu, two children and Benjamin.

A household representative told People magazine she died on Sunday morning and she had retained her cancer diagnosis confidential.

“She was undergoing medical treatment for a while, encouraged with her closest family members and friends,” the household representative said.

“She was a bright, delightful and loving soul who cared deeply about others who brought life to what she touched. Her family asks to your comprehension of the need for privacy at this moment.”
